What Kaa is
Most medical AI is calibrated to sound right. Kaa is calibrated to be right.
Kaa is the world's first Verified Awareness system for medicine. Every answer Kaa returns traces to verified evidence relevant to the present day. When the evidence is limited, when experts disagree, when no answer exists yet, Kaa says exactly that. A doctor using Kaa always knows what is verified, what is uncertain, and what nobody knows yet.
Kaa is a medical AI that knows what is right and what is not, and is honest about the difference.
Chatbots generate. Search engines retrieve. Kaa verifies.
It is a new kind of system. The category did not exist before.
Knowledge partner for clinicians
Doctors, medical researchers, and pharmaceutical scientists work where being wrong is not an option. Being wrong can cost lives. Kaa was built for them.
No more wondering if something was missed. Every claim traces to its source. No more trusting an answer that cannot be verified. When the evidence is thin, Kaa says so. When experts disagree, Kaa shows the disagreement. When the field has not yet answered the question, Kaa shows the edge of what is known.
The reasoning belongs to the clinician. Kaa makes sure the ground underneath it is real.
Verified Awareness
Verified Awareness is our architecture.
Kaa runs entirely on our own hardware. Every answer is fully traceable, fully auditable, and fully under our control. That is the only way a guarantee can be absolute instead of best-effort.
Kaa today covers clinical medicine, pharmacology, and drug interactions across every major specialty. The sources update daily. Every night the pipeline checks for retractions, so calibration is never built on science the world has already disowned.
IBM Watson spent a billion dollars on medical AI and shut down. ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini hallucinate confidently and cannot tell you which paper grounds which claim. Perplexity cites sources but never verifies them. UpToDate is trusted but static, built by human editors on a slow cycle, at thousands per physician per year. Epic reads patient records; it does not reason against the medical literature.
Every existing solution either invents answers or stops short of genuine clinical reasoning. None of them are aware. None of them know what is right and what is not.
We are not making AI smarter. We are making AI aware. That has never been done before.
The team

We run a bio-engineering company that operates at the boundary between medicine and personal care.
Most of our customers are also someone's patient. Their doctor handles what is going on inside the body. We handle what reaches the skin. The space between the two is where we work, and reaching it has taken awareness-driven research no other company has been willing to do.
A patient with trimethylaminuria carries a defective FMO3 enzyme; the smell leaves the body through skin, breath, and urine, and no soap can wash it off. Apocrine glands produce a different kind of sweat when hormones shift, and nothing on the deodorant shelf can stop it. As skin ages it produces 2-nonenal, a waxy compound that lodges in the lipid layer and brings the smell back within hours of every shower. Bacteria inside the hair follicle have learned to hide from the antimicrobial chemistry the entire category was built on.
We mapped more than a dozen of these pathways and built a sequence of formulations for each. Every formulation we ship traces back to peer-reviewed research. Every claim has a source. We read at the depth specialists read, often deeper than the consultation has time for, because anything shallower puts a guess on the body.
We turned to AI to read faster. Every tool we tried fabricated answers. One pointed us to papers that did not exist. Another gave us DOIs that resolved to nothing. A third produced a reference list that looked authoritative until the third citation failed to open. A company built on what is verifiable cannot run on what is invented.
Neither can a doctor.
That was the second realisation. Our customers' clinicians were drowning in the same literature, under the same speed pressure, with the same broken tools, and the cost of getting it wrong was much higher on their side.
So we built Kaa.
We are making AI aware.
Kaa. The Medical AI that never lies.
